Cardan protective pad - rear - black

In the event of the motorcycle falling over or a fall, the axle protection pads ensure that the swing arm, the wheel axle and the final drive of the cardan are effectively protected against damage.

The protective pads distance these components from spot or rubbing contact with the ground or the road and thus reduce or avoid expensive damage to the motorcycle. In addition to the choice of material, we have integrated two essential, specific properties in the design and tested them in racing, namely damping and frictional resistance, which increases progressively during the sliding phase.

The damping: The first positive property to mention is the damping, which can absorb and absorb part or all of the impact energy in the event of sudden impacts.

The frictional resistance: The second positive property is the frictional resistance, which increases from the outside inward due to the component geometry due to the enlargement of the effective sliding surface. This allows us to ensure that our protective axle pad only offers low friction resistance when touched lightly, but, for example, in the case of longer, grinding contact with the road, the grinding phase is shortened in terms of time and space. This means that in the event of a fall with an axle protection pad, the time in which the motorcycle slides and the slide itself are reduced.
